A real pleasure and the best boat trip we have ever been on. A stop off at a harbour, a nature reserve for a seashell search and some fantastic gardens, together with a lunch prepared by Mrs Homer left us in no doubt that we had made the right choice for our boat trip. You will not be disappointed. They make their own olive oil and red wine as well!

Not to be missed. Our boat trip with Homer from Messonghi was absolutely amazing. We were a group of 20 which was full capacity for Homers boat, this meant that homer allowed us to customise the boat trip to what we wanted. We decided on having an afternoon boat trip rather than an all day one. Homer and his wife are brilliant hosts. They took us down the coast for an hour where we stopped in shallow water for a swim.

We returned to the boat to a beautiful lunch, wine and music. Homer then brought us back to Messonghi. We had a Saturday afternoon private booking for 20 family and friends, with the age range of 8 months to 80 something.

Starting from the booking, we arranged the trip with Homers son, who is very polite and speaks brilliant English thanks to his Liverpudlian mother. The boat left at from it's regular location at the mouth of the river and we took in some lovely views of Messonghi and other smaller fishing villages before docking at a remote sand bank, where we were able to go for a swim in the sea while Homer and his wife prepared a beautiful lunch for us of tzatziki, Greek salad, tuna salad and a nice batch of crusty bread all to be washed down with a choice of red or white wine for the adults and pop for the kids.
We then set off again, heading to a nice little jetty where we were able to visit a bar to quench our thirst with a pint of Mythos and a lovely ice cream with some great scenery. On re boarding we were offered some juicy apricots that Homer has grown in his own garden. We then finally docked at the small jetty outside the Bacchus Taverna for our own convenience at around Everyone was in agreement that the trip was excellent value for money, Homer is a great captain and host, the food was delicious and the weather couldn't have been any better.
Homer will definitely be taking us on more trips on our future holidays and he can't come recommended highly enough. We have done this trip 2 years running and it was fabulous on both occasions most recently on 24th may The captain and his wife could not have been more welcoming and we had an amazing time. Delicious lunch produced and very convivial hosts. We can't wait for next year.
