Samnang Hul is a great guide who spent two days with us in Angkor and gave the tour in German, which was great for our kids who do not speak English so well yet.
He is an elegant man who has worked his way up in terms of educating himself. He has great commitment to not only serving tourists but also helping to educate the community as he has understood that education is the key to success of a society. His German is excellent and he not only gave good explanations about the Angkor sites but also offered unfiltered insight about local issues regarding society and life in Camobida.
It was not a 'canned' tour but a really wothwile experience.

Go at night to observe all the beautiful lights. You are actually outside, so night is nice if it's hot out during the day. This is much nicer than waiting in line for the Empire State Bldg.
