There were two highlights to this visit. I absolutely loved the light exhibition. It was amazing. You can experience the whole show on YouTube but being inside with the show is amazing. The other is the restaurant which has amazing food. You got three choices of each course. We really enjoyed this and found it value for money. Obviously if you h to Brussels this is a must. We got here by using our hop on hop off two day tickets.
I loved the architecture it's really shocking in the right way if you're looking for a good place it's totally the right one. This is an impressive gigantic structure built for the exhibition. You can see it from very far away. It is located away from the city center in a park. It is impressive to see as one approaches you can walk from bottom of boulevard and admire the different perspectives as you approach the structure.
It is a nice stroll and you can visit the Atomium, we did not enter but enjoyed the surroundings and the many perspectives. This location es a stand alone, there is nothing else around it to visit. Myself, my husband and my 14 year old son visited the atomuim on our recent visit to Brussels. Cost us about 40euros to get in and the views from the top were incredible.
The history of the build and the light shows inside even amazed my son.

Well worth the visit. Only down side, when we came to the cafe outside they only took cash and the young man serving was rude and very unhelpful. However there are vans selling drinks and food as you leave. It is very interesting to see it from ouside and to take photos, but if you don't have time to go inside, don't be sad, you cannot go in all the balls.
